About Me

Breed: Pug crossbreed
Colour: Tan
Age: 10 Years (approx)
Ref: 12297

Homer is a loving 10 year Pug cross Dachshund looking for a special home to call his own.

Homer has so much love to give and he is full of character and brings so much happiness with his funny and adorable personality. He loves a cudddle and adores nothing more than getting under a cosy blanket on the sofa with his favourite people. Sadly Homer has been confirmed to be blind but this doesn't stop him from being able to get around his foster home, snuggling on the sofa and enjoying his walks.

He is a clever boy who quickly learnt words to help him understand what is going on and to help with his confidence. He enjoys his walks and having a good sniff and explore. He is currently in a foster home where he has established a special trusting bond and does bond quickly. He does suffer with separation anxiety and he is currently on medication to help support with this.

Homer is looking for a patient and understanding home that will be able to give him the time adapt to a new home environment.  He can have a few accidents in the home, particularly if anxious, so new adopters will need to be aware of managing this. A home with multiple people is important to ensure that Homer will be with people throughout the day. He will make a wonderful companion in the home.

Homer is on pain relief to help with potential arthritic changes and this can be discussed further upon application.

Homer has lived with another dog previously but we have found that this hasn't alleviated his anxiety and with dogs too energetic, it can worsen his anxiety. We would be able to consider a home with a calm older dog following a successful meet. Homer would be best in home with children over the age of 14 years who are respectful of his needs. Homer needs a home where he will be with people for most of the time.

If you feel that Homer is the dog for you then please complete our Online Dog Application Form.

All viewings are by appointment only.
