About the RSPCA Young Photographer Awards
The RSPCA Young Photographer Awards is open to anyone aged 18 or younger. The aim of the competition is to encourage young people's interest in photography and their appreciation and understanding of the animals around them.
Take a look at the awards ceremony from 2018. Find out why judging this competition is such a challenge, meet some of the winners and hear the story behind the winning photos.
The first RSPCA Young Photographer Awards was a one-off event to celebrate our 150th royal anniversary in 1990 - and 29 years later it's still going strong, attracting thousands of entries from young people across the UK.
The competition includes a wide range of categories plus awards for the overall winner and winners of each category, encouraging all ages and abilities to take part. There is something for everyone and, as you can enter more than one photograph in each category, you can select a range of your best work to enter.
