Overall winner

This category selects the best of the best. The judges choose just one photo from all the winners of the categories (including the Portfolio category) to take the top prize. In 2023, our Overall winner was Jamie Smart, with this fantastic image of Frederick, the turkey. The photograph won our Pet personalities category.

The prize

The overall winner of the RSPCA Young Photographer Awards will receive:

a weekend photography break with award-winning wildlife photographer Danny Green's team at Natures Images, and

an RSPCA Young Photographer Awards trophy.

All finalists will be invited to the awards ceremony in December, where the Overall winner will be announced.

The Deer Rut Special weekend photography break with Natures Images will take place in the East Midlands in 2025. There is also a place for the winner to take along an accompanying parent/guardian.
