Mobile phone and devices – Winner 2025
Description
I was visiting West Midlands Safari Park for the first time, and as we drove around it felt like we’d stepped into a nature documentary. I was taken aback by these zebras, their bodies blended together. With the sun shining on their backs, their stripes created a beautiful optical illusion, trying to confuse us – as if we were predators. I took the photo on my mum's phone, and was amazed how wonderful it looked.

Mobile phone and devices – Runner-up 2025
Description
I took this photo to capture my dog Ziggy’s adventurous spirit. On the beach in Cornwall, he dug a hole big enough to hide inside, and peered down like he’d just unearthed pirate gold. His proud face is clearly thinking: “I did that!” The photo took multiple attempts to achieve, as he kept looking everywhere but into the hole, while accidentally throwing sand on the camera with his paws.

Description
I was volunteering at a wildlife rescue centre when I took this photo. After putting some food in the cage, I noticed the hedgehog creeping out from under the blanket until it framed their head perfectly. I held my phone higher than usual to show off the blanket and the hedgehog's beautiful pale spines, which contrast with the dark background.

I was walking up the stairs and saw Rafi looking at me. He had a questioning look on his amazingly cute face. So, I asked him a question: “Can I take a picture of you?”

Description
Every time I walk down my neighbouring street, I can trust that I’ll see this nose. This nose knows that I’m coming. This nose knows it's me. This nose is what I look forward to seeing. But this nose doesn’t just smell me – this nose sniffs the world through the gap in the brick wall.
