Information for executors

If you’re an executor for someone who has left the RSPCA a gift in their Will, thank you for helping. Over half of our work with animals is funded by gifts in Wills, so we value your help in making it happen.

How to pay in a legacy gift

Following a payment being made, one of the Legacy Income Management Team will be in touch to ask any further questions and provide you with a receipt and thanks for this generous legacy gift. The names of all legacy supporters who choose to remember us in their Will are added to our Book of Remembrance in recognition of their support and commitment to animal welfare.

  • The easiest and best way to send the gift is by bank transfer to this account please:

    Reference: Please use ‘LEG – name of person who has left a gift in their Will’

    To help us identify your payment and match the payment with the legacy, please also email: legacyadmin@rspca.org.uk with the following details.

    • The full name of the person who has left us this kind legacy (so that we can match this to the payment reference).
    • The date of the person’s death and their last address (so we may update our records and stop any future mailings).
    • Your (the executor’s) name and contact details, so we can send you a formal receipt.

  • Please make cheques payable to ‘RSPCA’ and send them to: RSPCA, Legacy Income Management Team, Parkside, Chart Way, Horsham, West Sussex, RH12 1GY.

    We would be grateful if you could include a cover letter with the following details:

    • The full name of the person who has left us this kind legacy (so that we can match this to the payment reference).
    • The date of the person’s death and their last address (so we may update our records and stop any future mailings).
    • Your (the executor’s) name and contact details, so we can send you a formal receipt.

  • If you need to transfer legacy funds in USD or euros, please email the Legacy Income Management team at: legacyadmin@rspca.org.uk and request details of the correct bank accounts. These currencies can’t be paid into our regular account.
