Learning to fly
By playing our Spring Raffle, you're helping us provide expert care and rehabilitation for animals in need. Every day, we work hard to rescue animals needing our help – like these four tawny owls.
Last spring, these baby owls fell from their nests and were in danger of starving or being caught by predators.
We hand-reared them at our West Hatch Wildlife Centre, taking care to raise them as naturally as possible. At first, we kept them in special heated cages and fed them raw meat with tweezers. As they grew, we moved them into larger aviaries, where they learned to fly and feed themselves.
Once the owls were big enough to survive on their own, we released them back into the wild, and proudly watched them glide away into the dark.
Every ticket you buy helps us save animals in need. So play to win this spring – for yourself and for our amazing wildlife.
